After graduating from Elmira Free Academy, Tom decided to earn his Associate's Degree at Corning Community College and then attended the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Law and a Master of Law. After graduating in 2004, he returned to his roots in Elmria, New York, and began working as an assistant district attorney in Chemong County District Attorney. He earned a master's degree in criminal law from Cornell University Law School and a juris doctorate in law.
Applicants must be admitted to the New York Bar, have a J.D. degree, be a member of the New York Bar Association with a good reputation and have written communication skills. Applicants should be lawyers or lawyers who are committed to working with low-income people and have the ability to face the challenges and dynamics of litigation practice, as well as a strong understanding of criminal and criminal defense law. All applicants must have a JD degree and be members of the best reputation; have written communication skills; be admitted and / or a member of the New York State Bar Association (NYS Bar) and the State Bar Association; and have been resident in Elmria, NY for at least three years.
