I like to be outdoors. It's my way of connecting with a power much larger than myself. I'm really not sure where I'm going in life, or where I'll end up, but I mostly try to live one day at a time, experiencing as much as possible and meeting as many new friends along the way as I can.

By summer, I am a white water raft guide. By summer, I revert to my secret identity as a student. Some very entertaining stories have come from both experiences :).

I speak Spanish relatively fluently because I lived in Argentina for a year and a few months.

I'm obsessive over good music. As radio stations go, I mostly listen to WCLZ out of Maine, or some awesome Pandora stations that I've made based on the Indigo Girls, Brandi Carlile, Tegan and Sara, or Death Cab. Indie is good. Folk is good. I don't hate pop music, but I usually like it best when some awesome memory is associated with it... i.e. "I Kissed a Girl and I Liked It" enough said, haha.

Books can be friendly, but so can movies and TV if they've got a tangible message and people are willing to discuss what they mean with me. I'm a fan of literature that really transcends times and cultures... The Epic of Gilgamesh for one... The Bible perhaps... not that you shouldn't look at the cultures in which they were written, but the fact that they still speak to us today, thousands of miles away and thousands of years in the future, that is brilliant.

Well, I am currently dedicating my life to a worthwhile endeavour. The martial arts. I have one black belt and am trying to earn another in a different system. I am very much in love with music. I'm an individual with a great work ethic, I have never been known to give up easily, and I can usually be found engaging in activities with my family and friends. I work at a special ed. school with teenage children. Never thought I would be doing that, but I am and I absolutely love it! I like to go out and have a good time. I'm really picky when it comes to guys. I am cautious and I like to take my time and dissect people's personalities before I enter any kind of personal relationship with them. I'm boring by most people's standards. I hate going out. I've drank alcohol once in my life. I think being surrounded by large amounts of drunk people is mentally draining and terrifying. Well, I am a student at CCC for Computer Sciences, most of my friends are sorta nerdy, but I couldn't ask for better ones. I have two best friends Christopher, and Ciara. I am VERY into body modification. I myself have 7 tattoos --I did just pause and actually count them-- I also have many piercings but I won't take the time right now to count them out *14* hehe. I love thinking up new tattoos for myself. Usually I draw up a rough sketch and then just give it to my artist but sometimes even I can't even get started on what I want things to look like. My recent tattoo is my clovers, I am not fully Irish but I like to celebrate it anyways.

I love reading and writing. Currently I don't have the amount of time that I would like to do these two things but slowly my projects get done. Mostly I write poetry, but every now and then I get some fiction down based on non-fictional events.

My names John. Im 22, I live in Lowman, NY. I went to Troy High School (Class of 2006). I am single. I grew up on a farm. I love animals, especially dogs. I have two black labs (Molly and Uno), a beagle/basset hound mix named Flash, and a yellow lab puppy named Titus. I came from a big family, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. I am the oldest. I am shy at first, but once I warm up I am the life of the party. I think I have a very good sense of humor. I love to laugh and make other people laugh.

I love going to the movie theater. The most direct route to my heart is to suggest we go see a movie together. I went to the theater 52 times in 2009 to see 48 movies. Ask if you want a list of what I saw. My favorite movie is Love Actually, followed closely by V for Vendetta.

I try to stay current on world affairs. I love when a guy (or anyone really) is politically aware. I believe we are all citizens of the world and that we have a responsibility to know what's going on around us. I love philosophy and I'm considering tacking it on as a minor to my main course of study. I tend to be a Realist, Objectivist, and a Deontologist. Feel free to debate me on my stance sometime. I love to question what I think I know and my perceptions of the world.

What shall I say about me? Well, let us see here. I'm a ninja pirate with a viking ship and a loyal crew, and together we do pretty much nothing. That's okay, though. Most of my crew are also on other ships, much bigger ones, and if you mess with us they'll kick your ass.

I like books and painting, but not at the same time - that would be messy. I'm obsessed with LibraryThing. I spend my summers at renaissance faires. The previous two years I worked at a knitting and spinning booth there. I can both knit and spin with some level of basic proficiency. I sing badly, but play loads of Rock Band - as a singer, natch, and the game lies to me and says I sound GREAT. I am happily addicted to a myriad of video games; mostly RPGs, and notably World of Warcraft. Odds are, I don't play on your server - I have yet to meet anyone that plays on mine except family.

I enjoy the internet in a fashion, and especially appreciate that it allows me to keep in contact with friends in many disparate locations. I am an atheist, but please forgive me if I confess that I'm not interested in debate about that matter.

I'm one of the good guys, as silly as that sounds. Down-to-Earth, honest, loyal, loving guy. I'm a very proactive father and my daughter means the world to me. I'm a kid at heart and everything that is new or exciting to my daughter is new to me again. Family is very important to me, but it takes two people dedicated and capable to make a family work. As luck would have it, I married someone not able to be "Married with Children" lol. That being said, I continue my search for my "Best Friend". Twelve years ago, that seemed easier. Someone who likes to be a kid and laugh at anything from Spongebob to disney movies and likes to eat S'mores around a camefire, playing board games or cards, who thinks going to see a comedian or a play or movie is fun to do once in a while. I've been divorced since '87 (I filed--She strayed) But, That's ancient history and well in the past.
I am 6'2', I have dark brownish-graying hair and Hazel eyes.
I'm honest,monogamous,well-mannered. I'm down to earth,romantic,even tempered,fairly levelheaded,logical,broad shouldered,easy going and real enjoy laughter. Whether it's my own or others laughing with me or at me. I have been the butt of a few jokes and I don't mind it. As long as people are having and noone gets hurt.....It's all good.
I'm into classic rock, Although I do have a wide variety in my collection. I don't get into rap.....My opinion about rap is that: "It is an insult to the integrity of what music is". Other people may like it. But,it's not for me.
I'm also into Nascar and I'm also interested in space...The Stars and Planets.
I'm not particularly a religious man. I'm a realist as well as an evolutionist and believe in the big bang theory. That doesn't make me a bad person. I still lead a some sort of a christian-type lifestyle......You know " The golden rule" and "The code of the west".
I love my family,friends and country. I enlisted in the U.S.A.F. the day after Christmas my senior year in high school. I served for 4 years.
I like the simple things in life, Like a fond touch,a loving glance or pleasant whisper. I'm no chef, But,I can put a meal together. I'm not rich, But, I'm not poor. I'm not a genius or professor, But, I'm far from being an idiot. I'm not a bully nor am I a wuss.
After lovemaking I like to lie next to each other and have a nice conversation....while I am caressing the body (mostly the back or arm) of the lady that I have been graced to share our beautiful experience with. Snuggling up to each other until we drift off to sleep.
